Witman Stadtmauer, P.A. employs eleven attorneys and main­tains a staff of twen­ty-five. Its practice is concen­trated in the areas of taxa­tion, employee benefits including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and welfare plans, ERISA, estate and elder law planning, estate administration, IRS controversy, business practices, including corporate partnership, limited liability company law, tax exempt organiza­tions, real estate and commercial and cor­porate litigation in­clud­ing Federal and State Tax Court and ERISA litigation. Leonard J. Witman ([email protected]) is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. Mr. Wit­man received his B.A. from Rutgers College, and graduated from New York Law School. He is past Chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Association Taxation Section. He is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law and Rutgers University Graduate Business Program and Fairleigh Dickinson University Graduate School of Business. He was a Tax Law Specialist, Instructor and Lecturer with the Internal Revenue Ser­vice in the Employee Plans and Exempt Orga­nizations Division. He is the New Jersey Chair and a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates (ACTEC). He is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefit Counsel. Mr. Witman is also a past Chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Asso­ciation Employee Benefits Com­mittee and is a fre­quent nationally known lecturer and author in the tax and deferred com­pensation fields. He has written for many tax periodicals and is the author of A Retirement Planning Technique Book (9th Edition) and Roth IRAs published by The Kugler Company and Pension Planning after TEFRA, Top-Heavy Plans published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also annually listed as a Best Lawyers of America and AN Super Lawyer.

Gary D. Stadtmauer (gstadtmauer­@wsmesq.com) is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. Mr. Stadtmauer received his B.A. from Queens College and graduated from Capital University Law School where he was an Articles Editor for the Capital Law Review. He is an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University Graduate School of Business. He co-authored with Mr. Witman “The Era of the Quali­fied Top-Heavy Plan: Overview and Planning Tech­niques” printed by Prentice-Hall. Mr. Stadtmauer is a frequent lecturer on 401(k) Plans, and is a past instructor for The American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPA). He is also annually listed as a ABest Lawyers of America@.

Barbara S. Murray ([email protected]) is a member of the New Jersey Bar. Ms. Murray received her B.S. from Caldwell College and graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law. Ms. Murray has co-authored several articles, including “Professional Corporations: Are they Still Viable?”; “Distri­butions to Alternate Payees from Qualified Re­tire­ment Plans: Rights and Planning Opportunities of the Non-Par­tici­pant Spouse” New Jersey Fami­ly Lawyer; Source Tax Adds Complexity to Plan­ning for Retirement, The Journal of Multistate Taxation. Ms. Murray is a past President of the New Jersey Chapter of WEB, Inc. (a network of benefits profes­sionals).

Catherine Romania ([email protected]) is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars. Ms. Romania received her B.S. in accounting magna cum laude from Bucknell University, graduated cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law and graduated from New York University School of Law with a Masters in Taxation. Ms. Romania is currently serving as Chair of the District X Fee Arbitration Committee of the New Jersey Superior Court. She is also a New Jersey Supreme Court Approved Mediator for family, civil, probate and general equity matters and is a member of and accredited by the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators as a business and commercial mediator. Ms. Romania has lectured for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education as well as other organizations, has authored numerous articles including AFor Love, Money and Exemption@, APet Trusts@ and ADisinheriting a Child@ and is frequently featured in the New Jersey Star-Ledger Biz Brain column. Ms. Romania practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, guardianship, elder law, real estate, business and tax matters.

Tara S. Sinha ([email protected]) is an associate of the firm and a member of the New Jersey Bar. Ms. Sinha received her B.S. from Rutgers College and graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Newark, where she served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sinha was the law clerk for the Honorable Walter R. Barisonek, Union County Superior Court. She authored ADot your I=s and Cross your T=s@, New Jersey Law Journal and was selected as a Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2009 and 2010. Ms. Sinha has also lectured for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

Julie D. Rosen ([email protected]) is an associate of the firm and a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars. Ms. Rosen received her B.S. from The University of Maryland – College Park and graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law, where she was Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society. She was selected as a Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2009 and 2010. She has authored “Transfer Tax and Post-Mortem Planning” published for CCH, Incorporated. Ms. Rosen has lectured for the NJSCPA and the Middlesex County Bar Association.

Ms. Cohen received her B.A. (graduation with distinction) from George Mason University – Fairfax, Virginia and graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Cohen was the law clerk for the Honorable Leonard N. Arnold, P.J., Somerset County Superior Court.
